Picture shows actors James Norton (right) and Robson Green hugging after they filmed their last scenes together on Friday afternoon on Grantchester Meadows for the ITV drama Grantchester. Norton is being replaced by Tom Brittney.
Actor James Norton looked emotional as he hugged co-star Robson Green goodbye during his last scenes as vicar Sidney Chambers in the village of Grantchester.
The 32-year-old gave Green, who plays his good friend Detective Geordie Keating, a big hug as they said their goodbyes on Grantchester Meadows yesterday (Fri).
This is the fourth series of the 1950's crime-fighting drama and Norton is handing over to Outlander actor Tom Brittney, who will play new vicar, Reverend Will Davenport.
Earlier in the day he was seen cooling down with an ice cream between takes as the cast battled to film scenes in the sweltering 30C heat.
Norton and Green shaded themselves under giant golf umbrellas as they struggled to keep cool in trousers and jackets. Robson Green was even fanned by an assistant as he overheated in a suit and overcoat.
At one point Norton almost slipped into the River Cam in Grantchester after filming a punting scene. He was helped ashore by filming crew as he struggled to get on to the steep bank.
James, who is tipped to be the next James Bond, has been filming in Cambridge and Grantchester this week.
