Stevenage Football Club has appointed ex-England striker Teddy Sheringham as its new manager today (Thurs).
The former Tottenham and Manchester United forward will replace outgoing manager Graham Westley whose contract at the League Two club ends next week on May 31.
It is the first managerial job for Sheringham, who won 51 England caps and was the oldest goalscorer and outfield player in Premier League history.
He has spent the last season as West Ham's attacking coach, but is now keen to become a manager.
He told Sky Sports News today (Thurs) his overriding feelings was "excitement."
