Picture shows the Cambridge University Boat Crew on their last training session on Saturday morning March 28th on the River Cam before they move to their London training camp for the Boat Race in 2 weeks time. The crew were watched by the Dean of Ely.
The Cambridge crew were hoping for some divine inspiration today (Sat) as they trained for the upcoming Boat Race - after losing for the past two years.
The team were out rowing early on the River Cam this morning as the Dean of Ely Cathedral, Mark Bonney, looked on for support.
The Dean is a former student at Cambridge University, where he studied at St Catharine's College and achieved a sports Blue in tennis and golf.
He spent an hour and a half watching the crew train on the river, in what was their last training session in Cambridgeshire before they move to the training camp in London.
Afterwards the Dean said: "It was really thrilling to watch the crew train. I wish them all the best in the race."
