Aerial picture dated June 30th shows a punt on the River Cam by Grantchester Meadows,Cambridgeshire, on Sunday afternoon as people make the most of the good weather. Cooler weather is forecast for later in the week.
The Met Office forecast for today states rather cloudy across Scotland and Northern Ireland with some rain or heavy showers. Elsewhere, largely dry with sunny spells, although rather cloudy initially in the west. Feeling fresher for all, but still warm in any sunshine in the south.
Tonight:
Dry with clear spells overnight across the south and east. Rather cloudy elsewhere, with some rain at times in the northwest, where it will also be windy.
Monday:
Outbreaks of rain and showers in the north will move south across central areas during the day. Further south will remain dry, with the best of the sunny spells.
Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:
Remaining changeable and feeling rather cool across the north, with some further rain at times, especially on Tuesday and Thursday. Largely dry with sunny spells elsewhere, and temperatures around average.
