PIC SHOWS STUDENTS PUNTING ON THE RIVER CAM IN CAMBRIDGE IN THE EARLY HOURS OF TUESDAY JUNE 17TH AS THEY CELEBRATED THE END OF EXAMS AT THE TRINITY MAY BALL.
Rich Cambridge University students watched a spectacular fireworks display from punts after a night partying with British pop rock band Lawson at the prestigious Trinity May Ball.
The undergraduates were treated to an amazing set of fireworks over the River Cam to finish the hugely expensive end of term party, for which tickets cost a staggering £450 a couple.
Some then continued to party overnight with drunken punt rides on the River Cam and a champagne breakfast in the college gardens.
The sold-out ball is the largest event of the Cambridge student social calendar and some students queued for three hours to get into the event yesterday evening (Mon).
Guests were treated to a lavish five-course meal served in Trinity Great Hall, which included pea soup, crab cocktail and beef fillet.
Students could then tuck in to oysters, a hog roast and a chocolate fountain, while drinks were served from a floating punt on the river.
